Gionee Launches Elife E8 with 24-megapixel Rear Camera

Introduction

On June 10, 2015, the reputed Chinese mobile manufacturing firm came out with its new product Elife E8. The Chinese company is going to sell this new mobile with a price tag of CNY 3999 or Rs. 40000. This product is likely to hit the shelves on July 15 in China. The main attraction of this Smartphone is its ultra clear rear camera. Along with this camera, the Smartphone comes with proprietary software that helps the users to produce images with extremely high resolution. Some standard features are there in public domain. However, the company boasts of other specialties. The details of these standout features are not revealed by the company.

Gionee Elife Camera E8 Features

This mobile phone comes with a 24-megapixel rear camera. Along with proprietary software that comes with it, the users can stitch together an image that can go up to 120 megapixel spatial resolution. This camera houses a 6-element lens made of sapphire glass. With this powerful lens, the users can attain optical image resolution and zoom of up to 3X magnification. The camera also has the 4K video recording and dual-tone LED flash features. Apart from these, the new camera also has a dedicated camera button and a phase detection auto-focus feature for recording speeds up to 0.08 seconds. The device also has a front-facing 8-megapixel camera for creating selfies.

Other Features

This Chinese Smartphone comes wedded with a biological fingerprint reader. However, not much is known about its type and placement in the new mobile phone. This dual SIM mobile phone offers 4G connectivity for data transfer. It runs on Amigo 3.1 operating system, which is derived Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device sports a 6-inch QHD Super AMOLED Display with an onscreen resolution of 1600x2560 pixels. This giant display has a pixel density of 490ppi. The new Chinese mobile is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor that clocks a computational speed of 2GHz. The device has on board a 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage memory. It is not clear whether this inbuilt memory can be expanded with a suitable micro-SD slot. Apart from 4G, the internet connectivity can be established on this Smartphone with the help of NFC feature. The power backup for the device is given by the presence of a high capacity 3520mAh battery. This battery can be charged faster with a built-in feature.
