Introduction
On June 19, 2015, the reputed Chinese mobile manufacturing
company came out with the Marathon M5 at a Beijing event. The company has
decided to bring the new product to shelves across the country on June 25, 2015.
It was brought out along with the Elife E8, which sports a 24-megapixel rear
camera. Marathon M5 is going to hit the market with a price tag of CNY 2299 or
Rs. 23000. The company claims that the
Marathon M5 is going to be powered by a 6000mAh battery. This power backup, according
to the company, provides more than four days of talk time to the new Smartphone
users. Apart from this, other specifications of this high-capacity power bank have
not been put in the public domain.
Gionee Marathon M5 Power Bank
The Gionee Marathon M5 is the successor to the much touted product
of the Chinese Company Gionee Marathon M3. Like its predecessor, Marathon M5 is
coming out with two 3000mAh batteries. Hence, its total storage comes to
6000mAh. With this kind of power backup, the charge can easily last up to 4
days. The new battery has an additional feature called an extreme mode. In this
mode, the length of the standby time can increase up by 5% to almost 62 hours.
The Smartphone is even designed to support the reverse charging. This new
feature helps in faster recharging of the battery. However, the Chinese Company
has not revealed the details of the working of these new features.
Other Features
Marathon M5 comes pre-installed with an unspecified version
of the Android 5.0 operating system. This dual-SIM Smartphone sports a 5.5-inch
HD AMOLED display with an on-screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The users
can avail the 4G LTE connectivity on the two SIM card slots housed in the
Smartphone. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) SoC
processor that clocks a computational speed of 1.5GHz. The mobile comes with
2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage memory. The user has the option of increasing
the internal memory by inserting a micro-SD card in a slot meant for it. The
usable memory can be expanded up to an unspecified. The Chinese mobile also has
a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie-friendly front camera.
Other details are not revealed by the company. The analysts expect the company
to come with other specifications of this device just before its release for
sale in China on June 25, 2015.
