According to the information shared by the Nokia executive, the Android phone from the brand is likely to hit the shelves all across the globe in the month of February. He chose to name the Nokia Android mobile as Nokia EDGE 2017. He further added that the new phone will have some great features and specifications which enable it to successfully compete with its strong contenders in the mobile industry. 1. Display: It will come with a 5.5-inch and high resolution display. The onscreen resolution for the image may go up to 2K.  It will also have an edge display as shown in the Samsung S7 edge Smartphone. It will show all the notifications that come in the phone. It will also have a pixel density of 441ppi. The company has failed to mention about the display protection.


2. Camera: The new Nokia phone is likely to sport a 23 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens fitted back camera. This feature will offer image resolutions that are comparable to those provided by `DSLR cameras. The front camera of the mobile will have an 8 megapixel resolution. Other features of the back camera include Autofocus, Touch Focus, Geo-Tagging, Digital Zoom, Panorama and Face Detection. It will also have a flash facility.


3. Storage: The device will have internal storage memory of 32GB, which is expandable up to 64GB using micro-SD cards.


4. Battery: The power backup of the new Nokia phone will come from a lithium-ion battery. It will have the power capacity of 3600mAh.


5. Chipset: The new Android phone will gets power from Octa-Core Processor, 3GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.


6. Connectivity: Mobile set is most likely to give connectivity through Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/n, GPS, Radio, EDGE, GPRS, 4G LTE, 2G and 3G options. The Bluetooth connectivity option will also be featured in the set.

Nokia Mobiles to Reappear in New Avatar

The HMD Global Executive Arto Nummela shared further about the new Nokia models with a scribe from ‘The Economic Times of India’. He added that the new models will do justice to the existing Nokia model design pedigree. He further added that these comeback models will have competitive prices to stay afloat in the market. He also told the daily scribe that Nokia still enjoys the brand equity in the market that the company want to fully exploit and market the new products to reach the most customers.

The comeback models will have Android 7.0 operating system. They will also have premium metal designs that have IP68 certification. In other words, the new models will have water-resistant property. They may come up with 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch QHD screens, finger-print scanner, and “innovation” in camera features. They are also expected to feature other functionalities such as split-screen modes, enhanced notifications, and improved gaming platforms. The later feature banks on Vulkan API. Hence, this gaming platform will bring “elements of touch and hover interaction”. Samsung Galaxy A9 to Hit the Stores in January 2016

The noted mobile maker Samsung Electronics announced the arrival of its Galaxy A9 model in China. The launching of the new entrant in the Galaxy product line was very much due with many rumours about its appearance and functionality doing rounds with tech buffs.  In tune with its claim, the company came out with the display of the new model of Samsung Galaxy a few days back. The company said that it would mostly hit the stores in China in the first month of next year (2016).  However, it did not reveal its price or the pricing strategy in the market. The mobile behemoth Samsung the announced the rolling of its new phablet at an event in China two days ago. According to the information available with the analysts, as given out by the company representatives at the launch venue, the Galaxy A9 is going to hit the Chinese markets by mid of January next year (2016).  However, the pricing mechanism and the likely launch in other markets across the world are not revealed by the company representatives. It is touted to come with the mobile payment service application that the company had rolled out recently in Asia. Samsung Electronics has christened this service as Samsung Pay.

ZTE Launches Cheapest 4G Phone in India

Introduction

The reputed mobile manufacturer ZTE has launched the world’s cheapest 4G Smartphone. It has christened the new Smartphone as Blade Qlux 4G. This new 4G phone is going to hit the shelves across India with a price tag of Rs. 4999.  Initially, it would exclusively made available through the retail major Amazon from June 16, 2015. As part of the inaugural offer, the company also offers a double data package from AirTel. For this purpose, ZTE has entered into some business understanding with AirTel. The details of this deal are not yet available in the public domain. The analysts in the telecom vertical believe that this is the best pick amongst the entry-level mobile phones that offer 4G connection, leaving far behind the offer of Xiaomi Redmi 2. The Xiaomi product is positioned at Rs. 6999.

The new mobile from ZTE provides connectivity both at 1800MHz and 2300MHz 4G wireless bands in India. Using these 4G bands, the device is able to deliver the data speeds up to 150Mbps on LTE Category 4 networks. ZTE Blade Qlux 4G is a dual-SIM Smartphone that runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The company assures its customers that the pre-installed operating system can be upgraded to the latest version of Android in the near future. However, ZTE has not given any time frame for this. The mobile sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with an on-screen resolution of 480x854 pixels.  This budget mobile device is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor that clocks a computational speed of 1.3GHz.  The device houses a 1GB RAM and an 8GB internal storage memory. Gionee Marathon M5 Rolls Out with High-capacity 6000mAh Battery

Introduction

On June 19, 2015, the reputed Chinese mobile manufacturing company came out with the Marathon M5 at a Beijing event. The company has decided to bring the new product to shelves across the country on June 25, 2015. It was brought out along with the Elife E8, which sports a 24-megapixel rear camera. Marathon M5 is going to hit the market with a price tag of CNY 2299 or Rs. 23000.  The company claims that the Marathon M5 is going to be powered by a 6000mAh battery. This power backup, according to the company, provides more than four days of talk time to the new Smartphone users. Gionee Marathon M5 Power Bank

The Gionee Marathon M5 is the successor to the much touted product of the Chinese Company Gionee Marathon M3. Like its predecessor, Marathon M5 is coming out with two 3000mAh batteries. Hence, its total storage comes to 6000mAh. With this kind of power backup, the charge can easily last up to 4 days. The new battery has an additional feature called an extreme mode. In this mode, the length of the standby time can increase up by 5% to almost 62 hours. The Smartphone is even designed to support the reverse charging. This new feature helps in faster recharging of the battery. However, the Chinese Company has not revealed the details of the working of these new features.

Marathon M5 comes pre-installed with an unspecified version of the Android 5.0 operating system. This dual-SIM Smartphone sports a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with an on-screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The users can avail the 4G LTE connectivity on the two SIM card slots housed in the Smartphone. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) SoC processor that clocks a computational speed of 1.5GHz. The mobile comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage memory. The user has the option of increasing the internal memory by inserting a micro-SD card in a slot meant for it. The usable memory can be expanded up to an unspecified. The Chinese mobile also has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie-friendly front camera. Other details are not revealed by the company.
